Ship's biscuits were made to last during long voyages, like hardtack. A nearly complete ship’s biscuit from the 18th century was found at the Robinson Landing Site (44AX235). Stop by the Alexandria Archaeology Museum on Saturday, December 6 between 2 and 5 p.m. to make your own ship’s biscuit ornament to commemorate the discovery and the city's waterfront history! Each biscuit ornament will be stamped with the year and then baked at home to track its preservation. Free, no registration required.
