Event Details:The Office of the Arts in collaboration with the National Capital Puppetry Guild, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit charitable organization, will launch a series of monthly family-friendly puppet shows at the Durant Arts Center.

On Saturday, May 19, Bob Brown Puppets performing Old McDonald's Farm. The puppet show series is designed especially for the very youngest of audiences so toddlers are welcome. Two shows will be offered 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

Reservations per show are $5 for all ages. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult. To purchase tickets online, visit www.alexandriava.gov/webtrac, select activity number:

For over 60 years, Bob Brown Puppets have enriched the lives, the imaginations,and the potential creative abilities of hundreds of thousands of children. Each year,they play to thousands of youngsters. It is impossible to separate the work of these master puppeteers, as each serves a vital role in each other's creative process. A perfect process that has resulted in wonderful creations that bring together art, music and story-telling to the delight of children (and grown-ups) everywhere.
