Sortie of the Beaujolais Nouveau

Title:Sortie of the Beaujolais Nouveau
Date & Time:Thu Nov 16, 2017 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Location:Lloyd House, 220 N. Washington St. (Map This)
Event Details:Please join the Alexandria-Caen Sister Cities Committee and the Office of Historic Alexandria, as we participate in the world’s largest wine party. Beaujolais Nouveau Day is marked in France on the third Thursday in November, the earliest French law allows this year’s wine to be served. Parties are held throughout France to celebrate the first wine of the season, and nearly half of the Beaujolais’s annual wine production, or 65 million bottles, will be consumed during Beaujolais Nouveau festivities. On this year's Beaujolais Nouveau Day, celebrate the first taste of the 2017 harvest in the company of fellow French enthusiasts and Sister City supporters. The fresh and fruity Beaujolais Nouveau wine is made using a quick fermentation process so that it is ready in time to celebrate the end of each harvest season. Taste this year's wine and learn more from Vanessa Moore, proprietor of UnWined. Erin Hablenko of MOMS will add tastings of cider!
