Event Details:Changes, challenges and choices mark the middle school years. Members of the Teen Group of the Alexandria-Mount Vernon Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. have authored “Survival Secrets of Middle School,” an anthology of essays, based on their own experiences. In this way, the authors hope to help other young people who are currently in this phase of life. The topics covered are as diverse as the adolescents who wrote them. From managing lockers to bullying to approaching teachers, the local teen writers will share their unique perspectives on this challenging time of life and share “secrets” that helped them persevere. The proceeds of the sale of this book will be donated to charity.
Fees:This event is free. Reservations encouraged, but not required.
