Event Details:Celebrate the arrival of peace in 1815 with this special period banquet and ball commemorating the signing of the Treaty of Ghent, which ended the War of 1812. Enjoy a period-inspired banquet and program in “Triplett’s Hotel,” the modern-day Gadsby’s Restaurant, with President and Mrs. Madison as well as members of his cabinet. Then move to the historic ballroom of Gadsby’s Tavern Museum for a festive evening of period dancing. Black tie or 1815 attire encouraged.

In preparation for the ball, period dance classes will be offered at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays, October 29 and November 5 and 12.
