The VRE/Amtrak Alexandria train station is directly across from the Masonic Temple.
|Event Details:||Members of the public are invited to an Open House hosted by the City of Alexandria and its regional partners, Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA) and Virginia Railway Express (VRE), to share information on ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects slated for the King Street and Commonwealth Avenue Corridors.
These projects include:
*Hooffs Run Culvert Bypass (flood management)
*Fourth Track Project (rail capacity improvement)
*King & Commonwealth Rail Bridges (rail bridge replacement)
*VRE Station Improvements (rail station improvements)
*King & Commonwealth Streetscape Improvements (safety and mobility improvements)
Talk to the project teams and learn more about the projects. At 6 p.m. there will be a brief presentation. The presentation and other meeting materials will be uploaded on the project website at the conclusion of the Open House.
