The Nature Center is located adjacent to William Ramsay Elementary School.
Event Details:The Stormwater Management Division will be hosting a volunteer stream monitoring event in conjunction with the Jerome "Buddie" Ford Nature Center. We will be using the Virginia Save Our Streams methodology to assess Holmes Run. RSVP is required. The exact location will be provided to those who register.

What will you do?
•ID macroinvertebrates (and other animals we may find) using handouts and assistance from staff
•Learn about watersheds, the difference between healthy and unhealthy streams, why streams are unhealthy and how we can help make them healthy
•Help learn about and determine the temperature, pH, and other chemical components of the stream
•Help determine the level of impairment and overall health of the stream
