Alexandria City High School
Event Details:The second of a series of community meetings on the Waterfront Small Area Plan Landscape and Flood Mitigation Design process will occur on Monday, November 4, 2013, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at T.C. Williams High School, 3330 King Street, Alexandria, in the auditorium. Participants should use buildinge entrace 36, directly across from the parking garage. The public is invited to this community meeting, and reservations are not required.

The Olin Studio, the City’s landscape architectural firm for the Waterfront, will provide information on the design process that will occur between now and June 2014, in order to provide a higher level of specificity for the illustrative drawings in the Waterfront Small Area Plan. The meeting will also be a forum to share ideas on programming of public space elements and activities; and ideas for implementing the art, history, and lighting recommendations in the Waterfront Small Area Plan.
This is an important opportunity for the community to engage in this process, as the City works in partnership with Alexandrians to transform the Waterfront into an highly accessible, vibrant place for residents and visitors alike to enjoy.
