Step into the bucket brigade and discover how early Alexandrians came together to protect their community from the threat of fire. Explore historic firefighting equipment, try colonial firefighting techniques, and take part in the tradition of electing honorary members as you consider what it means to be a good citizen--then and now. This program is part of Historic Alexandria’s monthly Grown-Up Field Trip series, where adults can feed their curiosity by learning more about Alexandria’s history together.

Please note the first floor of the museum is brick pavers. An elevator is available to the second floor.
