In honor of Black History Month, experience the life of the dynamic activist, acclaimed actor and brilliant scholar Paul Robeson in a special performance of “Paul Robeson” at the Carlyle Clube.

Event Details:In honor of Black History Month, experience the life of the dynamic activist, acclaimed actor and brilliant scholar Paul Robeson in a special performance of “Paul Robeson,” a play by Philip Hayes Dean. This benefit for the Alexandria Black History Museum will be held at the Carlyle Club, 411 John Carlyle Street, stars actor Hugh Staples, and is directed by Cody Jones. Hugh Staples brings to life the struggles and career of one of America’s most brilliant but misunderstood heroes, Paul Robeson. Dinner will be served beginning at 5 p.m. The 90-minute performance begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be followed by a discussion with the lead actor. Advance ticketing is required. Dinner and play ticket is $65 per person or $30 for the play only with limited seating in the bar.
