City of Alexandria public park located northeast of the intersection of Strand Street - Duke Street.
Event Details:Please join the City of Alexandria for a public walking tour of the Waterfront Flood Mitigation Project area from 1 – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 27.
Project team members will discuss Waterfront flood mitigation goals and objectives, the anticipated project timeline, opportunities and constraints impacting project implementation. The tour also includes time for informal questions and answers along the way.
This event is free and open to the public. The ¾ mile tour will depart from Point Lumley Park near the intersection of Strand St. and Duke St. at 1 p.m. and proceed north along the Potomac River to the RiverRenew project site at the intersection of N. Union St. and Pendleton St.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriately warm clothing. Air temperatures along the riverfront may feel cooler than forecasted. Light refreshments will be provided at the sign-in station prior to the tour.
