Training for Aging Service Providers/Volunteers

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older adults make up a significant, and growing, share of America's 65+ population. If you work with older adults-as a volunteer, health care provider, counselor, social worker, case manager, etc.-this training is for you.

Event Details:Topics covered in the training will include: culture, needs, and concerns of LGBT older adults, why LGBT older adults are less likely to access health and social services, tools and education to better serve the LGBT older adults who currently access your services, or who are in need of your services amoung many other topics. The training is free, but space is limited. There will be a $25 charge if you do not attend and do not cancel your reservation by 5p.m. on Monday, June 4.
