Title:VIRTUAL: Birthnight Banquet-Virtually
Date & Time:Sat Feb 13, 2021 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Location:Virtual Only Event, Meeting or Activity
Meetings, events or activities that will be held exclusively online or via telephone conference.
Event Details:The George Washington Birthday Celebration Committee and Gadsby’s Tavern Museum are pleased to present the annual celebration of the birth of our first President, George Washington -virtually this year! Going virtual allows us to open this typically sold-out event to as many who wish to participate in this Alexandria tradition, celebrating George Washington with a banquet and ball.

There are many different ways to connect and celebrate on Saturday, February 13:
• Virtual Banquet and Ball - and General Washington Live! 7-9 p.m. ($15 per person)
o Join the likes of Mr. Gadsby, citizens of Alexandria, and General Washington himself for a Birthnight celebration on your personal screen. Over Zoom, begin the evening with a video presentation full of dancing, conversations, and toasts. Then the General will be available LIVE for all your questions! After the Q&A, enjoy English Country Dancing called by our expert Dance Master that you can do with 1, 2, or 4 people at home. Period costumes of the 1790s encouraged!
• To-Go Banquet Dinner and Birthday Cake ($50 per person)
o No Birthnight Banquet & Ball would be complete without an 18th-century dinner and cake. Select the dinner option and enjoy the full event experience, which includes access to the virtual event and a delicious to-go dinner from Gadsby’s Tavern Restaurant that includes our traditional Birthnight Ball cake from Bittersweet.
• General Washington Visit ($350)
o Missing the opportunity to dine or have a conversation with the General? You are in luck - he will come to visit you at your house on Saturday the 13th before the event. Add this limited-availability option to have Washington provide greetings to your household (in Alexandria or along the 1-95 corridor between Richmond and Alexandria) at a safe physical distance. Funds from this experience help support the educational programming of Gadsby’s Tavern Museum.
