Event Details:Join local historian C.R. Gibbs presents the Annual Veterans Day Lecture, “Undaunted Courage: African Americans & World War I.” This lecture presentation marks the ongoing international centennial observance of the First World War. Mr. Gibb’s lecture will highlight African Americans who served in World War I from Metro area. C.R. Gibbs is the author/co-author of six books and a respected lecturer on a variety of historical topics. Mr. Gibbs has worked with Smithsonian Institution museums and is a D.C. Humanities Council scholar.
