Time & Place 250 Opening Reception

Join us for the opening reception of "00:10:00 (The Declaration of Independence)" a new temporary public art installation coming to Alexandria in honor of 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by Richmond-based artist Sandy Williams IV. It takes approximately 600 seconds, or 10 minutes, to read the United States Declaration of Independence. Williams’ artwork asks viewers to contemplate that time and, with it, the meaning of the document to our lives today.
