Event Details:Due to the COVID-19 pandemic emergency, the April 19, 2021 Alexandria Library Board meeting is being held electronically pursuant to Virginia Code Section 2.2-3708.2(A)(3), the Continuity of Government ordinance adopted by the City Council on June 20, 2020 and/or Sections 4-0.00(g) in HB29 and HB30 to undertake essential business. All members of the Board and staff are participating from remote locations through a video conference call on Zoom. Meeting link is below and registration is required to watch the live webcast.

The meeting will be webcast live and a recording will be available a few days after the meeting.

Public comment will be received at this meeting.

All persons wishing to speak before the Library Board must complete a Speaker’s Form. If you have a prepared statement, you may email it to the Library Board at libraryboard@alexlibraryva.org. Speakers are encouraged to submit their written comments to the Library Board.

    (a) All speaker request forms for the public discussion period must be submitted by 5 pm of the day prior to the meeting. (b) No speaker will be allowed more than three minutes; except that one officer or other designated member speaking on behalf of each Library Friends group desiring to be heard shall be allowed five minutes. In order to obtain five minutes, you must identify yourself as a designated speaker, and identify the Friends group you represent, at the start of your presentation.
