This year’s event, to be held Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28, 2013, is titled The Road to Regency Fashion. Costume scholars, collectors, curators, practitioners, students, and enthusiasts are invited to explore the evolution of clothing from 1770 to 1820. Learn how to create your own white silk reticule or a structured turban; explore topics ranging from the Regency style as it manifested itself in America to the history of colors in the period’s fashion. Culminating the symposium is the Road to Regency Ball. Registration materials available at www.GadsbysTavern.org.|
