…: Ending Childhood Hunger in Alexandria This March, in honor of National Nutrition Month, the Department of Community and Human Services, in partnership with Mayor Gaskins, current Vice-Chair of the Mayors Alliance to End Childhood Hunger, is hosting the Nourishing Alexandria’s Future Generation stakeholder meeting. This forum convenes Alexandria’s stakeholders — from infancy through young adulthood — to build a future where every child enjoys reliable access to nutritious, culturally appropriate food. By mapping our community’s unique strengths and assets, we are working to ensure that food security is a permanent foundation for every child’s ability to learn, grow, and thrive.
