NVJDC Study Community Meeting: Falls Church
|Title:||NVJDC Study Community Meeting: Falls Church|
|Date & Time:||Thu Nov 14, 2019 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM|
|Event Details:||Juvenile incarceration rates across the nation have continued to decrease over the past 10 years, including at the facility that serves the City of Alexandria, the City of Falls Church, and Arlington County. A comprehensive study is evaluating what changes, if any, could be made to the Center to make it more efficient, while still meeting the needs of the juvenile population. The study includes researching possible alternatives such as closing the center due to underutilization and detaining youth in another center in Northern Virginia. During November, community meetings will be held in each jurisdiction for the public to hear more about the study and have an opportunity to provide feedback.
Meeting Location: City Hall (Laurel Room), 300 Park Ave., 7-8:30 p.m., in Falls Church.
|Audience:||Anyone may attend|
