Snow Covered
Street is covered with snow.
Passable
A street is considered passable when a vehicle, especially an emergency vehicle, can safely get through, even if the road isn’t fully plowed or the pavement is not visible. The street may have been treated with salt or only plowed in one lane. Snowy or icy spots will remain, and additional plowing will be required. Drivers should use caution and limit driving to essential trips.
Cleared
Snow has been pushed to the sides of the street, leaving one or two inches of snow or clearing the street down to the blacktop with running water visible. Streets are also treated with salt. Drivers should continue to use caution and expect icy spots and/or snow.
