Green along with illustrator and Howard University graduate Kim Holt, for a family program that highlights their new book; Fight for the Right to Read: Samuel Wilbert Tucker and the 1939 Sit-Down Stike for Library Reading Equality. This free program, held at the Alexandria Black History Museum at 902 Wythe Street in Alexandria, Virginia, is suitable for families with children in second grade and above. The presentation will include how the idea for the book came about, a reading of the book, and time for questions from future authors and budding young authors. Light refreshments will be served. The authors and illustrator will be available to sign copies of their book.
