Title:Indigenous People's Day Exhibit Case Unveiling
Date & Time:Tue Oct 11, 2022 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location:Torpedo Factory Art Center, 105 N. Union St. (Map This)
3rd floor, room 325
Event Details:For thousands of years, Native Americans moved through the region, trading and drawing resources from the land and river. A new exhibit case at the Alexandria Archaeology Museum shows how archaeologists study changes in stone projectile point technology to help figure out the age of an archaeological site and how the area was used. Visitors to the Alexandria Archaeology Museum will be able to see the case starting on Tuesday, October 11, and virtually at www.AlexandriaArchaeology.org starting on Monday, October 10. This exhibit was made possible with help from the Friends of Alexandria Archaeology and the Pamunkey Indian Tribe.
