Have unwanted and expired prescription medications? Dispose of them safely on Drug Take Back Day to prevent pill abuse and theft.

As part of the DEA's national Drug Take Back Day, the Alexandria Police Department, Alexandria Sheriff’s Office, and Alexandria Health Department, with cooperation from the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Alexandria, are staffing multiple drop off sites.

Drop off unused or expired medications at a designated location on October 23 or year-round at a permanent drop box location. Face coverings must be worn in indoor public settings and outdoor public locations where physical distancing requirements cannot be maintained. Please maintain 6 feet of physical distance from others.
