 han a war - it was a Revolution of Ideas that continues today. From the c
 reation of the Fairfax Resolves to the hometown of George Washington\, Al
 exandria and this region played a unique role in the birth of the new nat
 ion. The Alexandria Forum\, in partnership with Emerging Revolutionary Wa
 r\, will share the history of Alexandria and Northern Virginia during thi
 s critical time in history\, showcasing how these moments in time reverbe
 rate through today. The forum begins with coffee\, tea\, and breakfast at
  8:30 a.m. followed by welcome remarks. Two morning keynote addresses inc
 lude "A Tory in Old Town\, The Revolutionary War Journal of Nicholas Cres
 swell" by public historian Ken Bancroft and "The 25 Who Signed: Researchi
 ng the Fairfax Resolves Signers" by Kerry Mitchell\, Historic Site Specia
 list at Carlyle House Historic Park. After participants have lunch on the
 ir own in Old Town Alexandria\, four speakers will share recent research 
 highlights. \n\nThe final keynote will be "Prelude to Yorktown: Lafayette
  and the 1781 Virginia Campaign" by Dr. John Maass. Education Specialist 
 at the National Museum of the United States Army. \n\nThe Forum will end 
 with a reception at the museum. \n\nTickets are $60\, $40 for Office of H
