 ty of Alexandria's Office of the Arts is joins forces again with Visit Al
 exandria for the free\, two-day event.\n\nThe 45th Annual Alexandria Jazz
  Fest will open the weekend festivities at Waterfront Park on Friday\, Ju
 ne 16\, from 6 to 9 p.m. with three renowned performance groups accented 
 by readings from some of Alexandria's poets between sets and a live mural
  painting throughout the evening.\n\nThe free\, two-day Portside in Old T
 own Festival continues Saturday\, June 17\, from 1 to 9 p.m. with an arra
 y of live music\, local craft beer from Port City Brewing Company and fun
  for the whole family with hands-on art and history activities and more.
