 62561\n\nMusic of the American Revolution: The 250th for Alexandria's Sis
 ter Cities' Concert \n\nCome celebrate the 250th anniversary of America's
  War for Independence with renowned music historians David & Ginger Hilde
 brand for performances of special period music. The Hildebrands will don
 period attire to discuss and perform music associated with Alexandria's s
 ister cities: Caan\, France\; Dundee\, Scotland\; Helsingborg\, Sweden\;
 and Gyumri\, Armenia. Scottish music was especially influential in the Am
 erican colonies\, and once the French joined the Revolutionary cause ther
 e were musical celebrations for Generals LaFayette\, Rochambeau and other
  French leaders. This concert event is part of the "Alexandria commemorat
 es America's 250" campaign. \n\nThe American war effort was expressed thr
 ough patriotic songs\, ballads\, and dance tunes which connect us to Geor
 ge Washington\, Thomas Jefferson\, Benjamin Franklin and others. The Hild
