“Three historic houses of Old Town — Freedom House, Morrison House, and Spite House — are combining for a one-of-a-kind event where history, community, and story telling will come together,” said Gretchen Bulova, director of the Office of Historic Alexandria, who will share the history of Freedom House and the latest information on its important rehabilitation.

The free event will feature readings by celebrated actor and retired jurist William T. Newman; WETA Classical announcer and producer Nicole Lacroix; Old Town Crier Ben Fiore-Walker; and John Wasowicz, author of the popular ‘Spite House’ mystery. Brendan O’Leary, owner of the Prince Street spite house used as a model in the modern mystery, will also participate in the program.

After the discussion, John will be signing copies of Spite House and 40% of all book sales will be donated to the Freedom House Rehabilitation Project. Guests can also enjoy light refreshments and mingle with the rest of the panel!
