Event Details:The City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities, in partnership with the Make-a-Wish Foundation, will renovate Woodbine Tot Lot in Spring 2020. A community pre-construction meeting with city staff and the contractor is scheduled for Saturday, March 7 at 10am at Woodbine Tot Lot (1509 Woodbine Street).

In 2019, the Make-A-Wish Foundation approached the City of Alexandria with a wish from Whitaker, a local four-year old battling cancer. Whitaker loves going to the Woodbine Tot Lot across the street from his house and has asked to renovate the playground and add some special items to make the tot lot extra special for himself and his neighborhood friends. Construction work is anticipated to take place between mid-March through mid-April.
