  a closing reception showcasing the exhibition "Witnessing Worship: A Phot
 ographic Study of Faith in Alexandria." Visit the exhibition\, meet the ar
 tist\, Nina Tisara\, and enjoy a glass of wine and light refreshments. The
  reception is free\, but please RSVP here by August 23. The exhibition fea
 tures 106 black-and-white images taken in 1985 by photographer Nina Tisara
  documenting fifty worship groups throughout the City of Alexandria. The i
 mages provide a portrait of Alexandria's worship community at that time. M
 s. Tisara photographed worship in many different churches\, as well as syn
 agogues and a home where Buddhist monks lived and worshipped. There were n
 o mosques within the city\, so none were available to be included. Nina Ti
 sara sought to document "the breadth\, variety\, and vitality of worship i
 n the city." She came to call her project Converging Paths because the exp
 erience led her to conclude that\, despite the many different paths worshi
