The Soil Collection ceremony honors the lives a nd deaths of McCoy and Thomas and features placing soil into jars that wil l be given to the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI). Community members will b e welcome to take part in the soil ceremony\, drawing soil from two wooden vessels designed and built by 8th grade students at Jefferson-Houston IB School.
