 FreelandBuck will speak about the artist team's public artwork Tunnel Visi
 on realized for the new WMATA (or Metro) office building in Alexandria\, V
 A that officially opened last fall.\n\nSuspended from the ceiling and posi
 tioned in the southwest corner of the building's lobby\, Tunnel Vision can
  be experienced from the lobby\, the street\, and the adjacent plaza. From
  each of these viewpoints\, the artwork alludes to the Metro stations in d
 ramatically different ways: from the side as a convex object that loosely 
 evokes the coffered stations and Metro's gridded logo\, and from below as 
 a concave volume making the station clearly visible and emphasizing its dr
 amatic one-point perspective.\n\nThe event is jointly hosted by the Washin
 gton Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA)'s Art in Transit Program 
 and the City of Alexandria's Office of the Arts.\n\nLocation: WMATA Office
