th Annual Ceremony of Commemoration Days of Remembrance for the victims o
f the Holocaust\, at noon on Thursday\, April 24\, 2025\, in Market Squar
e\, 301 King St. This is the 36th year the city has held the Days of Rem
embrance ceremony. The event is free and open to the public. In case of i
nclement weather\, the ceremony will be held in the City Council Chambers
located on the 2nd floor of City Hall\, 301 King St. \n\nDuring the cere
mony\, the Mayor and members of City Council will light a candelabrum tha
t the late Holocaust survivor Charlene Schiff and her husband\, Ed\, dona
ted to the city. The 54-inch high\, solid brass candelabrum was donated i
n memory of Charlene Schiff's parents and sister\, and the six million Je
ws and millions of others who perished in the Holocaust. The Schiff cande
labrum is also made available to schools and civic groups studying the Ho
locaust.\n\nThe U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum leads the nation in the we
eklong Days of Remembrance commemoration\, in accordance with Congression
