Operated in partnership with the Urban League of Northern Virginia\, the Office of Historic Alexandria began assisting w ith museum operations in February 2018\, eventually purchasing the buildin g in 2020. After reopening in May 2022 with three floors of temporary exhi bits\, the next step involved crafting a Comprehensive Plan.\n\nThe Office of Historic Alexandria\, in close collaboration with the community and st akeholders\, has embarked on the development of this Comprehensive Plan.
