g St.\n\nThe speaker for this year's Days of Remembrance will be Dr. Alfr
ed M?nzer\, a a recently retired physician specializing in diseases of th
e lung who was Director of the Pulmonary Medicine Department at Washingto
n Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park.\n\nDuring the ceremony\, Mayor Justi
n Wilson and members of City Council will light a candelabrum that the la
te Holocaust survivor Charlene Schiff and her husband\, Ed\, donated to t
he City. The 54-inch high\, solid brass candelabrum was donated in memory
of Charlene Schiff's parents and sister\, and the six million Jews and m
illions of others who perished in the Holocaust. The Schiff candelabrum i
s also made available to schools and civic groups studying the Holocaust.
\n\nThe U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum leads the nation in the weeklong D
ays of Remembrance commemoration\, in accordance with Congressional manda
