This free living-history program is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will appeal to Civil War enthusiasts of all ages. The event is weather-dependent.\nThe pr ogram features reenactors from the 1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery\, a Uni on regiment that was stationed at Fort Ward during the Civil War. The un it will interpret the duties and soldier life of typical artillerymen assi gned to forts in the Washington area. During the meeting staff will review the scope of work to be per formed\, including the selected fencing style\, and the layout of fencing that will be used to demarcate the Old Grave Yard\, the Adams burial plot\ , the Clark burial site\, and the Jackson Cemetery. The meeting will conve ne at the Museum parking lot for a walk to each of the four burial sites. The Beitzell Fence Company\, based in Gainesville\, Virginia\, was awarded the project. Installation is scheduled to take place the last week of Sep tember. Staff from the Office of Historic Alexandria\, including a City ar chaeologist\, will be on-site to monitor the installation work.
