DESCRIPTION:Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the initial help given 
 to a person showing signs of mental illness or a mental health crisis.\nTh
 e 8-hour course teaches:\n? Unique risk factors and warning signs of menta
 l health problems in adolescents\n? Builds understanding of the importance
  of early intervention\n? How to help youth experiencing a mental health o
 r substance use challenge\nYouth MHFA does not prepare someone to diagnose
  or provide treatment\, Youth MHFA helps paraprofessionals and laypersons 
 who work with adolescents recognize symptoms of mental health problems and
  provide initial help and guide them to appropriate professional resources
 . Please note MHFA is not recommended for licensed mental health providers
 .
