 lebrations.\n\nFounded by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966\, Kwanzaa is the 7 d
 ay African American festival that celebrates culture\, family and communit
 y from December 26 to January 1. Kwanzaa highlights seven traditional prin
 ciples\; umoja (unity)\, kujichagulia (self-determination)\, ujima (collec
 tive work and responsibility)\, ujamaa (cooperative economics)\, nia (purp
 ose)\, kuumba (creativity)\, and imani (faith)\, which parents may use to 
 teach children positive community engagement.\n\nCulture Kingdom Kids? is 
 an educational arts company that produces children's programs that celebra
 te African-American culture and history.  Jessica Smith is the creative di
 rector for company and has worked with the Alexandria Black History Museum
