 tes the community to participate in its first bicycle tour of all Library 
 locations on Saturday\, October 26 at 10:30 a.m. Guests can bring their bi
 ke and join library staff for a leisurely 12-mile loop starting and ending
  at Beatley Central Library\, 5005 Duke Street. While promoting sustainabl
 e transportation\, the bike tour will also highlight many of the Library's
  unique programs\, and offer participants the opportunity to socialize wit
 h other bicycling enthusiasts. Free gift bags will be given away\; additio
 nal prizes will be offered to participants who follow the Library on Twitt
 er @AlexLibVA or Facebook and tweet photos of their bikes. Registration fo
 r the event is required\, as space on the tour is limited. Children under 
 the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.\n\nwww.bit.ly/alex
 librarybiketour\n\nLe tour basics\n\n-Registration is required and can be 
 completed using the online form or by calling Barrett Branch Library (703-
 746-1721) to register by phone.\n\n-Participants must sign a waiver/releas
 e of liability and parental consent/release agreement which is available o
 nline for printing. The waiver will also be provided the day of the tour f
 or signing.\n\n-Helmets are required.\n\n-Check-in will start at 9:45 a.m.
  on Saturday\, October 26 at Beatley Central Library.\n\n-Tour will begin 
 at 10:30 a.m. and end at approximately 2 p.m.\n\n-Distance is approximatel
 y 12 miles and will be at a leisurely pace.\n\n-A map of the tour will be 
 provided.\n\n-Snacks and water will be provided.\n\n-Parking is available 
 at Beatley Central Library\, 5005 Duke Street.\n\n-In case of inclement we
 ather the event will be cancelled. Staff will contact registered participa
