 's National Drug Take Back Day\, the Alexandria Police Department\, Alexan
 dria Sheriff's Office\, and Alexandria Health Department\, with cooperatio
 n from the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Alexandria\, are staffi
 ng multiple drop-off locations for safe medication disposal.\n\nDrop off u

 rs from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. No needles are accepted at this site.\n\nCa

 , many Americans do not know how to properly dispose of unused medication\
 , often flushing it down the toilet or throwing it away - both potential s
 afety and health hazards.\n\nDrug take back days and permanent drop boxes 
 also support the goals of the Eco-City Alexandria initiative to promote a 
 place where people can live healthier and economically productive lives\,
