  Count is an annual nationwide count conducted each year to identify the n
 umber of  adults and families experiencing homelessness within a particula
 r jurisdiction.  The purpose of the count is to assist in developing servi
 ces and resources to assist the homeless population and to ultimately end 
 homelessness.   DCHS Staff\, City Police\, City Fire/EMS and other communi
 ty volunteers will work collaboratively to outreach the homeless populatio
 n within the city.  The goal will be to engage\, provide information about
  services and gather needed data.  Outreach volunteers and donations are n
 eeded!  If you are interested in volunteering and/or donating items for th
 is outreach effort to be distributed to those experiencing homelessness\; 
 the following items would be greatly appreciated: gently used sleeping bag
 s\, blankets\, coats\, hats\, gloves and/or new socks.  If you are interes
