  part of life\, but are you controlling it or is it controlling you?  Girl
 s will use the collection of the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum alon
 gside modern advertising to examine types of media\, persuasion techniques
 \, and stereotypes.  Then\, using their new media savvy\, they'll take act
 ion and create a Public Service Announcement to get the real message out a
 bout girls' health and/or beauty.   By the end of the overnight\, girls wi
 ll have completed all of the steps for the It's Your Story-Tell It: Media 
 leadership journey for Cadette Girl Scouts.  \n\n \n\nCadette Girl Scout T
 roops will check in at Gadsby's Tavern Museum to drop off their sleeping b
 ags and meet their museum leader before heading over to the Apothecary Mus
 eum (approx. 2 blocks away).  While the project will be completed at the S
 tabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum\, girls and chaperones will be spendin
 g the night at the Tavern due to space.  Overnight includes an evening sna
 ck and light breakfast.  Please\, no tag-alongs for this event.  We can ac
 commodate male chaperones with prior notice.  Cost is $20 per adult and $3
 0 per girl.  All overnights begin at 7pm on Friday evening and end at 8:30
 am Saturday morning.  Groups are responsible for following Safety Wise req
 uirements of the Girl Scouts and taking care of their own permission slips
 .  Activity patch is available for purchase.  Troop leaders are responsibl
 e for buying the Girl Scout award separately.  \n\n \n\nThis overnight run
 s concurrently with a Junior Girl Scout overnight.  The different troop le
 vels complete separate activities but share a common sleeping space and br
 eakfast.  Multi-level troops should register girls separately under the ap
