DESCRIPTION:The final meeting of the liaison group is scheduled for Tuesday
 \, May 1 at 7 p.m. at the Lee Center\, 1108 Jefferson Street. To ensure co
 nstruction activities continue with little disruption\, and to continue to
  provide a forum for open dialogue with the surrounding community\, the Vi
 rginia Department of Transportation (VDOT)\, with participation of the Nat
 ional Park Service and City of Alexandria\, created a Community Liaison In
 formation Group on Jones Point Park Construction. Jones Point park continu
 es to be scheduled to open in late June 2012.
