DESCRIPTION:The community is invited to celebrate the installation of "Conf
 luent Threads" at Burke Branch Library with music\, treats\, and giveaways
 . Designed by Project One Studio\, "Confluent Threads" celebrates the rich
  diversity and sense of community found throughout Alexandria's West End. 
 Individual "threads" are woven together in the same way the community is w
 oven together. The fabric becomes richer and stronger as individuals engag
 e and interact with each other. "Confluent Threads" is the newest\, perman
 ent public art installation by the City of Alexandria and the first in col
 laboration with Alexandria Public Library. \n
