DESCRIPTION:The City of Alexandria and ACT for Alexandria are proud to offe
 r the first community "30-Day Racial Equity Challenge\," and invites commu
 nity members to join in. The 30-Day Racial Equity Challenge is an educatio
 nal tool used to advance deeper understanding of the intersections of race
 \, power\, privilege\, supremacy and oppression. The Challenge invites par
 ticipants to complete 30 short assignments\, over 30 consecutive days\, wh
 ich include readings\, videos or podcasts. The goal is to increase knowled
 ge and understanding and engage people as we continue our racial equity jo
 urney. One-hour facilitated conversations are scheduled for four consecuti
 ve Wednesdays\, 12 p.m.\, starting June 16.
