 \, get a behind-the-scenes look at a recent community history project that
  features the stories and contributions of African Americans to Alexandria
 's history. Members of the African American Heritage Trail Committee will 
 discuss the importance of Black history in Alexandria\, what archaeology r
 eveals about the past\, and the potential benefits and impacts of communit
 y history initiatives. Prominent and little-known stories of African Ameri
 can people\, places and neighborhoods from the time of Alexandria's foundi
 ng through the 20th century will be highlighted. The webinar will also fea
 ture a sneak preview of select stops on the Southern Route of the Waterfro
