 at approximately 7:00 p.m.\n\nThe City of Alexandria invites the community
  to participate in the Cohousing/Co-living Virtual Open House scheduled fo
 r April 20th from 7-9 p.m. Cohousing/co-living generally offers individual
 s who are unrelated a private living space as well as access to communal a
 reas like kitchen\, bathrooms\, and living spaces. This Cohousing/co-livin
 g initiative was launched with the goals of providing greater housing choi
 ce for people of all ages\, abilities and incomes\; increasing the potenti
 al stock of market rate affordable units\; and preserving social and cultu
 ral diversity through mixed-income communities.\n\nThis virtual meeting wi
 ll include a brief refresher about cohousing/co-living\, some case studies
  from around the country\, offer a summary of the feedback from the commun
 ity survey\, and provide initial policy recommendations based on these fin
 dings. At the end of the presentation we will open the floor for questions
 \, comments\, discussion\, and suggestions from the public. As part of a c
 ollaborative process we will continue collecting your input via a survey a
 fter the meeting in order to further refine the text amendment recommendat
 ions for consideration by Planning Commission and City Council. \n\nWe enc
