 lic art project at King Street Park at the Waterfront. The reception will 
 take place on Wednesday\, June 20 at the Torpedo Factory Art Center (105 N

 artist presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. The reception is free and open
  to the public.\n\nThe City of Alexandria's Office of the Arts has commiss
 ioned SOFTlab to design a site specific public art piece as part of Site/S
 ee: New Views in Old Town\, a public art exhibition series that invites ar
 tists to create an original\, temporary installation for King Street Park 
 at the Waterfront\, a new public space that is being created at the foot o
 f King Street. \n\nSOFTlab\, a New York-based design studio led by Michael
  Szivos\, has been selected to create the first work in the series\, which
  will be installed in the spring of 2019. Szivos' artwork will kick off an
  annual series of temporary installations whose goal is to attract visitor
 s\, foster interaction\, and enrich the experience of Alexandria's waterfr
