The lecture will take place at the Lyceum\, Alexandria' s History Museum on Thursday\, June 15. This e vent is presented by the Office of Historic Alexandria in partnership with Hooray for Books! in honor of the Centennial of World War I.\nFeaturing m ore than 250 color and black-and-white images from the Library of Congress \, many never before published\, Ms. Wagner's book and lecture explore Wor ld War I through the eyes of Americans. A recent addition to the Library of Congress Illustrated History series\, the book will be available for pu rchase during the event and there will be a book signing following the pre sentation. \nThis event is part of the larger Centennial Commemoration of World War I. For a small city in the shadow of the nation's capital\, Al exandria was fully involved in WWI. Over 4\,000 residents served in unifo rm while hundreds more worked in war industries and relief efforts.
