 memorable and inspiring evening with your family?  Plan to attend the "Fam
 ily Art Night" sponsored by the Office of the Arts on Friday\, October 7\,
  6:00 pm 8:30 pm at the Durant Arts Center\, 1605 Cameron Street\, Alexand
 ria\, VA.   A "meet and greet" begins at 6:00 pm.  Pizza\, soda and water 
 will be on hand\, complements of the Office of the Arts.  Art activities b
 egin at 6:30 pm.   No experience is necessary.  Children must be accompani
 ed by one adult.\n\nReservation includes ONE art experience\, art supplies
 \, pizza and soda.  You have three art experiences to choose from: \n?   P
 aint with Teresa Brunson - Ages 5 and up with Adult. Do you love to paint?
   No experience necessary - Teresa will guide you through painting your ve
 ry own masterpiece. Take your masterpiece home at the end of the evening.

 irwin -Ages 6 and up with Adult.  Design a mosaic trivet that you can give
  as a gift\, or use in the kitchen. Limit: 20 people (255201.05)\; or\,\n\
 n?   Construct Cardboard Games with Upcycle Creative Reuse Center - Ages 7
  & up with Adult. Kids of all ages are invited to build something amazing 
 out of cardboard\, recycled materials and imagination.  Celebrate your ima
 gination and build an arcade or board game\, then plan to share the game w
 ith Family Art Night participants (255201.06)\; or\, \n\n?   Create Poetry
  Pictures with Wendi R. Kaplan\, Poet Laureate\, City of Alexandria - Ages
  7 & up with Adult. Join Wendi R. Kaplan\, Poet Laureate in creating word 
 pictures of people\, places and things! Wherever our imaginations go\, we 
 can go!  Sharing our poetry will be part of the fun. Limit: 20 people (255
 201.07).\n\nThe "Family Art Night" is part of the "First Fridays" Series.
