DESCRIPTION:The Alexandria Heritage Series presents "An Afternoon with Sall
 y Fairfax\," a special performance beginning at 2 p.m.\n\nConnected to the
  most powerful family in Virginia\, Sally Fairfax was a close friend of Ge
 orge Washington's and a witness to the founding of Alexandria. Portrayed b
 y Beverly Benda\, one of the stars of the Little Theatre of Alexandria\, t
 his fascinating woman will offer many insights and observations on the ear
 ly days of our community\, the colony of Virginia\, and many of the famous
  people with whom she regularly associated. A wine and light refreshment r
 eception will take place after the performance\, during which time audienc
 e members may meet the actress and ask their own questions.\n\nThis progra
 m is a community educational partnership between The Lyceum and The Little
  Theater of Alexandria\, which is providing technical support\, as well. G
 enerous financial support has been made available by MCA Construction\, In
 c. and by Mercedes-Benz of Alexandria. Tickets are $10 per person and adva
 nce purchase is highly recommended.
